Timothy Meadows graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, West Virginia in 1985.  Mr. Meadows joined the Army Reserves in 1988 and completed Basic Training at Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri as a Combat Engineer. In 1990, he transferred units and MOS specialty to Military Police and was attached with the 304th MP Co. in Bluefield, West Virginia. The 304th MP Company participated in Desert Shield/Desert Storm from 1990 to 1991 and the primary duty was Escort Guard. His company provided security detail, searches, and transportation to U.S. and Allied encampments and military hospitals with injured Enemy POW’s. Mr. Meadows was employed with Wells Fargo Armored in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1994 and achieved the rank of Captain/Vault Manager. In 1997, he was employed with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Department in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he completed the Corrections Basic Academy and worked as a Deputy Detention Officer. Mr. Meadows returned to his home state and began his career with juveniles in 1999 at the Southern Regional Detention Center located in Princeton, West Virginia. His career began as Youth Service Worker I under the Department of Health and Human Resources. Mr. Meadows attended the Division or Juvenile Services Basic Academy in Montgomery, West Virginia in 2004, where he received the Gung Ho award for most motivated cadet. He served as a Correctional Officer I and II and Corporal. The facility underwent construction and renovation and was now hardware secure and named Sam Perdue Juvenile Center. Mr. Meadows was promoted to Sergeant, Chief of Security in 2008. In 2009, Mr. Meadows received his A.S. in Law Enforcement from New River Community College.
 
In 2013, Mr. Meadows worked with Management and Treatment to change from detention to commitment. Transition was not easy, but was successful through hard work. The Gateway Program a commitment Program for youth sexual offenders is progressing ahead. In June 2015, Timothy Meadows left Sam Perdue Juvenile Center and became the Director of Gene Spadaro Juvenile Center. Mr. Meadows is a current affiliate member of Counsel of Juvenile Correctional Administrators.
